TheLeteo Collectiveis a grassroots organization grounded in the transformative power of popular education. Through the creation and strengthening of community libraries, we democratize access to culture, reading, and critical thinking, turning these spaces into true epicenters of civic construction.
With an unbreakable conviction in the inherent value of the human being, our work transcends walls to advocate for the dignity of people deprived of liberty. Within the spaces of confinement, we conceive the library not only as a refuge of knowledge but as a vital territory for redemption, the reconstruction of the human fabric, and intellectual liberation.
Beyond humanistic and educational support, the Leteo Collective plays an active role in advocacy, monitoring, and defense of fundamental rights. We are an integral part of the monitoring commission regarding theunconstitutional state of affairs.that crosses the prison system. From this platform, we work tirelessly to make visible, question, and transform the realities of intramural violations, demanding that constitutional guarantees be restored and respected.
We are a bridge between knowledge, justice, and the restoration of rights, betting on a society where education is not a privilege and human dignity is not lost behind bars.
